Rob Beckett burst onto the comedy scene 15 years ago. Since then, he’s become one of the UK’s most successful and popular comedians - from his sell-out stand up tours to his hit podcast Parenting Hell, Rob & Romesh Vs and now, Celebrity Traitors.I'd been trying to get Rob on the show for years, so finally sitting down with him for a proper laugh was a real pinch-me moment.Behind the jokes is a comedian who's found his voice, stopped worrying about what other people think, and uses it to give us all a bit of light relief from the doom and gloom in the world. In this conversation, Rob shares:Being told he was stupid by a teacher and how it stayed with himHow he found his voice as a comedianThe moment on Rob vs Romesh he realised he was burnt outHow having kids holds a mirror up to your own childhoodA surprise message from his wife, LouThis conversation is a reminder that the best version of yourself is usually the one where you stop trying to be anything else.Rob Beckett is Great Company.Watch the brand new series of Tempting Fortune on All 4 HERERob & Romesh Vs series nine airs on Sky this AutumnIf you enjoyed the show, you can also follow us:Instagram - @greatcompanypodcastTikTok - @greatcompanypodcastJamie - @jamielaingAnd if you've got thoughts, questions and comments, you can email us at: greatcompany@jampotproductions.co.ukTHE CREDITSProducer: Helen Burke & Aminah BruntAssistant Producer: Issy Weeks-HankinsVideo: Josh BennettSenior Social Media Manager: Laura CoughlanAudio: Rafi Amsili GeovannettiShot on Sony Cinema Line cameras FX6, FX2 with Sony G-Master lenses 16-35GM, 24-70GM Hosted on Acast.
