In Luke 16:1-9, Jesus tells the parable of the unrighteous manager, a story that challenges our understanding of wealth and its purpose. At first glance, the manager’s actions seem dishonest, but Dr. John helps us see that the lesson isn’t about promoting unethical behavior. Instead, Jesus teaches us how to wisely use our resources in light of eternal values. This passage invites us to consider how we handle money and possessions, reminding us that, as followers of Christ, we are called to use them in ways that align with God’s kingdom. The Invitation: Invitations are usually a joy to receive. Birthdays, anniversaries, a coffee with a friend. Whether they are printed on embossed stationary or sent via a text, an invitation means that our presence is desired. In this 10-message series, Dr. John continues his study of Luke's gospel. In it, we hear Jesus' repeated invitation "to come." God desires our presence.
