Retail sales volumes are down and shops have lots of stock they need to sell. It is not surprising that they are launching their year-end sales even earlier this year, and they are using all sorts of tricks to get us into their stores and onto their websites. But we have to remember a bargain is only a bargain if it something that we need and it is on sale at a lower price.
